The meeting was held on the afternoon of February 6 at The New School. The Grand Master, Sergio Marittioti who is president of the Italian Chess Foundation took on teachers, parents and all students from primary 3 upwards who were brave enough to challenge him. Marittioti has played the former world champion, Karpov three times, and has drawn every time. Two of our students, Nicole Bahbout and Jessica Bourne combined and managed to draw with him. For everyone, especially them, it will always be a day to remember.
