The New School is, at present, the only school in Rome offering Advanced Level ('A' level) courses of The University of London. These courses are recognised world wide as providing an excellent preparation of university study and are acceptable university entrance qualifications in all countries. All the New School students who complete their 'A' Level courses go on to successfully take up indergraduate places at leading universities in Britain, the United States, Italy and throughout the world with many going on to research and post graduate studies. The school's unique structure enables students, if they wish, to select and combine courses from the Humanities and Sciences. 'A' level courses provide not only an 'in depth' study of a particular subject but also aim to develop those skills essential for a successful university career. At present students are following courses in: English Literature, Art, French, Italian, History, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics. All students are required to participate in Community Service activities, a Work Experience programme and an 'English Studies' course for those students not taking English Literature.
